MOUNTAINEERING CLASSICS
These are summits that we conquered during the Golden Age of mountaineering and remain classic climbing objectives for mountaineers who are passionate about their sport.
Climb the Matterhorn – Cervin
It is probably the most famous mountain in the Alps, with its perfect pyramid shape, towering over the Swiss mountain village of Zermatt. Its shape is stamped on the packaging of Toblerone chocolate bars! To reach its summit, requires experience and skill. This is a chalenging climb from start to finish and demands previous climbing experience and a good level of physical fitness.
Climb the Eiger
The Mittellegi ridge is most commonly climbed, but we do have requests to climb the north face. It is another European classic, and can even be enjoyed as a family trip. For those not climbing, it is possible to enjoy a memorable train ride to the summit of Jungfraujoch, a spectacular 9km ride that climbs 1400m positive vertical metres to reach an altitude of 3454, with an impressive view of the Aletsch glacier. Here one is surrounded by the alpine giants: Eiger, Mönsch & Jungfrau. The train stops at “Nordwand” or north face , where one can plunge into the atmosphere which the climbers will experience first hand. A memorable experience for all participants!
