Ski runs that never end, making turns through narly overhanging glaciers, playing with orientations to get the best snow conditions all day long, riding ski lifts and cable cars to great heights and hitting remote and isolated terrain by gravity access only…all of this describes what freeriding skiing is to Peakpowder. This is the our home turf!
\nSkiing in small groups of a maximum of 4 skiers per mountain guide, we are able to handle group dynamics, keep our clients safe and satisfied, and guarantee no waiting time. It’s all about getting in as many runs as we can, and getting our clients home safely at the end of the day. This is how Peakpowder guides freeride skiing.<\/p>\n

We are in the snow everyday of the season, and we choose our skiing locations based on snow pack stability and weather conditions. If needed, Peakpowder can provides a snow safety pack for skiers including an avalanche beacon, shovel, probe pole and harness.<\/p>\n

Courmayeur is located on the south side of the Mt. Blanc range and offers a totallly different weather pattern to the one found in Chamonix. Find challenging, technical terrain, with over 2300m of vertical of freeride skiing. Feel the grandeur of the Mt. Blanc while you ski steep lines in the trees and narrow shoots.<\/p>\n

Jackson Hole is THE freeride spot in the USA. Skiing light, dry powder from the “Big Red” cable car is a magical freeride experience. The Teton mountain range provides a stunning backdrop and the cowboy spirit is strong! This is one of the only resorts in the USA where “off-piste” skiing is allowed and encouraged. This is a freeride & backcountry ski trip in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.- We choose to hit Revelstoke and Kicking Horse, the 2 most recent ski resorts in British Columbia. Revelstoke offers unbelievable tree skiing and great snow conditions, while Kicking Horse is a sure bet whatever the weather. It’s geographical location is ideal, as it gets hit with storms from the Pacific and dry air from the East. Kicking Horse has big bowls, steep shoots, lots of great freeriding with no one around, and one is surrounded by pristine nature, far removed from the hassles of everyday life.<\/p>\n
